Just a quick reminder that LS Reinholt and I will be reading a fragment from “Dragon in the Cove” at the Atthis Arts Author Reading on Sunday September 11 – that’s tomorrow, or perhaps even today depending on when and where you are reading this!*
Register for free HERE to attend the event, which will take about 90 minutes, starting at 2:00 PM EDT or 8:00 PM CEST (= 20:00 for the people in and around Belgium, for example).
Aside from our fragment, there will be lots of cool authors presenting their stories the way they sound in their own mind, AND Gregory A. Wilson will be reading the intro to The Gray Assassin Book TWO: Renegade, AND there will be a special announcement at the end! Not a moment you want to miss, is it?

On September 11, 2022, you can attend the first Atthis Arts Author Reading, live at 2:00 PM EDT or 8:00 PM CEST. In other words, it’s at 20:00 that Sunday evening in Belgium, the Netherlands, and the rest of the Central European timezone. And for my frequent Australian reader (hi Nala!), I’m afraid it’ll be 3:30 AM for you, but there will be a recording afterwards!
This will be the first time LS Reinholt and I are doing an author reading together and I think it will be so much fun! We’ll pick a fragment from our short story “Dragon in the Cove” from Five Minutes at Hotel Stormcove. Every author (or, in our case, author team) will have 5 minutes to read, making the whole event last 90 minutes. And there’ll be a lot you’ll want to hear: the authors include E.D.E. Bell emself, Ava Kelly, Ether Nepenthes, Gigi Ganguly, Gregory A. Wilson… I’m excited about every single name on the list, but I suggest you check the link here to find out which part of the Atthis family you’re about to meet! With 14 authors from 3 continents, you’re bound to discover some great new writing.

Five Minutes at Hotel Stormcove is out now! This book with bite-sized stories in all genres has something for everyone and lets you expand your horizons.
L.S. Reinholt and I co-wrote the fantasy short Dragon in the Cove. The anthology also contains science fiction, romance, crime, quiet stories like the one about the cat, and so much more.
So far I’ve read about a third of the book and there hasn’t been one story yet that I didn’t like! And for my writer-friends, it may be nice to know that the Atthis Arts team has been an absolute joy to work with.

I’ve got a couple of small updates.
First of all, the Sherlock Holmes: Adventures in the Realms of Steampunk Kickstarter reached its second stretch goal! The first stretch goal was an extra story in the anthology, and now, as we’ve reached 100 backers, every one of them will get to see their name in print in a special thank you section at the end of both volumes. If that’s something you would like for yourself, or if you’re simply interested in preordering steampunk Sherlock Holmes stories, there are 4 days left to do so here. (For my non-American friends who would like paperbacks or hardcovers, it may be of note that they will be available on Amazon later once the anthology is released, so at that point shipping costs may be lower.)
Secondly, still on the subject of preorders, the Five Minutes at Hotel Stormcove anthology will be up for preorder here until the end of this month. The link will be taken down on April 1. After that, print copies won’t come with an included e-book, and the limited hardcover edition will no longer be available, so be quick if you’d like to get those!
And finally, a small treat that doesn’t require any ordering at all: the new edition of Paranatellonta is online since yesterday. For my new readers: Paranatellonta is a project where my friend Fie takes a photo which inspires a 10-sentence short story written by me. We post new editions on the 1st and 15th day of every month. I don’t always announce the posts here on my blog, but I really like this newest one, so I thought I’d remind you all of the project while I was blogging anyway. ^^ You can read it here for free. Great news: the Kickstarter for Sherlock Holmes: Adventures in the Realms of Steampunk has launched! This will contain The Adventure of the Purloined Piston Valve, a story by L.S. Reinholt and me.
The anthology consists of two volumes: Tales of a Retro Future and Mechanical Men and Otherworldly Endeavours. Our story will be found in the latter.
I really look forward to reading all these stories that mix the atmosphere of a classic Holmes mystery with futuristic inventions, grinding gears, puffs of steam, rebellious robots and astute automatons.

I can also announce another acceptance, again for a story co-written with L.S. Reinholt! It will be part of Five Minutes at Hotel Stormcove from Atthis Arts, a collection of short stories and flash fiction.
